Our Christmas Tree

If you were to ask me what traditions are important to me, I would answer Christmas (and some other stuff), so as you can guess (and probably have already guessed), I have chosen for my Your story, Our story project, to do Christmas.Always on Christmas Eve ( when it’s “bed time”) we put on special Christmas pajamas that are new every year. Every Christmas morning we wake up and wait for everyone else to wake up. After that (while we’re still in our pajamas) we start this old recording of my great-grandfather telling everyone what to do, and when to march down the stairs (to the Christmas tree) in youngest to oldest order. We always open up the stockings first and then pick a couple of presents (that are under the Christmas tree) to open. We then eat a special Christmas breakfast (I forget what we eat).I chose Christmas because it’s my favorite holiday and because it’s also most likely my siblings’ favorite holiday. Christmas is connected to most if not all of my (dad’s side) family.Christmas is something that probably a lot of other people may choose but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t special to me. Christmas is one of the things I will always remember. Every Christmas brings new memories, and those memories will always stick with me. I’ll always remember it as joyful, a time for all family members come together and celebrate, and lastly (as mentioned in many songs) as “The most wonderful time of the year.”
