Chess board with pieces

My great-grandpa, Matthew Flecker emigrated from Hungary in 1928 with his parents to NYC. With him he brought a very special object, a chess board. The chess board and pieces are made of wood and the colors of the squares are light brown and dark brown. It is an old antique chess board that is thick instead of thin and folds in half. To close it you close a latchet. The pieces get stored inside the chess board. My great-grandpa used this chess board to learn chess and he became a champion and I used this chess board to learn chess and I became a champion. My dad was the one who introduced me to chess and gave me the chess board. He learned about it from his wife (my mom) who learned about it from her mom (my grandma) who learned about it from her dad (my great-grandpa). Everyone in my family has learned chess but only me and my grandpa have ever succeeded and we were the only ones who learned on this board. This object is important to me because I love to play chess and chess is a big part of my life.
