Cháo gà
Whenever my family just wants something warm and simple to eat, mom will make us a pot of "Cháo gà" is a Vietnamese dish, in English is Chicken Porridge.
It has many kinds of vegetables like, peas, corn, carrots, sweet peppers and of course chicken. She also put the rice on the stove and mix it, until it's turns brownish then she would cook it with the rest with the soup.
My mom and dad were born in Vietnam, they came to the USA in the late 90's, so they have brought their culture in food to the USA.
This dish is the dish that me and my family eat mostly in the cold season or any season if we just want to eat something simple.
It's important because I remember when my brother and I were sick, mom would always make Cháo gà and that just reminded me that there will be someone who cares about you.
I will learn to practice making Cháo gà, so I can make it for my loved ones and also remembered about my mom when she takes care of me.
