My family has had a lot of things to cherish and be thankful for but something my dad took very serious is a chain that’s been passed down to our relatives. My dad passed me down a gold chain I wear everyday. He told me his dad (my grandfather) gave it to him before he passed away and my dad gave it to me as a gift. This chain has been passed down throughout generations and that’s why it has such great meaning. I plan to continue the chain and passing it down. The chain was originated from our home country, the Dominican Republic. It’s a memory of my grandfather, so by having the chain with us, it makes us feel closer to him.
