Cepelinai

Food is an important insight to the culture of a people. It shows the resources available and the climate where that food sometimes necessary.
Lithuanian cuisine is comprised mostly of what Lithuanian peasants had access to, Potatoes, pork, be it sausage or bacon, Lots of cream. Harvested berries and wild mushrooms are also staples. Cepelinai’s are potato dumplings filled with sausage and mushrooms and curded cheese. They are often served covered in cream and topped with bacon.
