My object is a CD that was given to me from my mom when I was coming to the U.S. The CD is made from plastic. I play the CD each time I miss my mom and my siblings and family in Liberia. The CD came from Liberia. It reminds me of my mom and family because when I was in Liberia we used to cook our traditional food, and play our traditional games.  At the end of each year we invite friends and family and we will dance to these songs telling our God thank you for making us to see another year. At the end of the day my grandma will advise us and give us words of encouragement. It’s important to me because each time that I play it or listen to it, I feel like they are listening to the music with me.
