Cape Cod Bracelet
Cape Cod bracelets hold a special meaning in my family. When the girls in our family are young we receive one. Around the age of 5 we get a small, shiny bracelet . When we grow out of it, we get a new one. My great grandmother immigrated from Italy, and landed on Cape Cod. She then gave birth to my grandmother, who still lives there today. This bracelet was something my grandmother found, and thought it was very pretty. She wanted to give it to her children and grandchildren one day. I don't wear mine anymore, but still keep in it a special box. These bracelets represent family members coming together, to remember our ancestry. My family's story can connect with anyone's story when talking about how important it is to them. It keeps us all connected in a sense of unity.
