Candlesticks
My family artifact is two candlesticks from World War 2. After the Holocaust, my great-grandparents came back to their house in Poland, she had fled her house and escaped to Siberia during the war. When she finally returned to Poland, all her possessions and family were gone, and nothing was left. But then someone handed her a few artifacts from before the war, some of the things were used in temples and daily Jewish life and the candlesticks were one of the items. These candlesticks were used on Shabot, ceremonies, and holidays. They represent Jewish life from before the war, and before their lives were upended by the Holocaust.
