Candle
When I was two years old, my family decided that we wanted to leave Korea. We were having a lot of problems there and we wanted to try something new. We applied for a visa in Australia, we were accepted, so we moved there. Things didn’t end up working out there either, so our family once again decided to move, this time to the United States. We applied for a visa and moved there. I don’t remember much of it because I was too young to remember. When I was in Korea, I was baptised in the Catholic church for the first time. Throughout this whole journey, there was something that was with me the whole time, and the only thing that we have left from that time is a candle. I got this candle at my baptism, and it is religiously significant for multiple reasons. It’s something that I’ve found light in during dark times of my life.
