Bracelet
This artifact is more than just a bracelet its a symbol and some may ask what it is a symbol of and to this its a simple response its a symbol of love to someone you hold close to you. This bracelet comes from my grandfather in India and it was passed down through the family and has now made it to me. You pass this bracelet on a religious holiday to someone you hold close to you. The bracelet made its way from India to the states when my parents immigrated here around the 2000s. After this it was passed to my sister who this year passed it on to me. Inscribed on the bracelet are two symbols from the Punjabi (language) text. The symbols combined create a word meaning there is one god which is a fundamental belief in Sikhism. Being able to wear this bracelet is a great privilege as it shows a true bond with whoever gave you the bracelet. The bracelet was custom made in India its core being some sort of stone with flakes of gold surrounding the blue stone and around the core there are different types of beads to add to the beauty and match with the blue/white string.
