My father's passed-down, retro box of baseball cards is a representation of generational bonding, with the love of the game contained within. Each card is a symbol of the hundreds of hours of hanging out and discussing my father's youth baseball existence. This box brings back memories of my summer afternoons with my father playing catch with the baseball in the backyard and discussing his favorite players. For example, my dad would say that he was a kid idolizing Barry Bonds, around that time I was 9 years old, and I had found a vintage 2002 San Francisco Giants Mint Condition Baseball card of him, it made it even more special for me.  It brought back the memories of our family weekend trips to the card stores, where we had a shared experience of enjoyment in collecting. Two years later, I lost that card, but it is a reflection of how time went by and the way our common interests change over time. This object makes me think about my family because it makes me remember the memories and love that we shared as a result of our common interest in baseball.
