My object is an Irish limestone piece from the Blarney Stone. It is from Ireland and the object is very important to my family. My mother's family came from Ireland many years ago in search for a better life. My grandfather gave my mother the limestone many years ago to help her remember her homeland, Ireland. 

We have the stone locked away in a cabinet so that it is protected. My family cherishes this item dearly. My mom has other items that she has locked away for safe keeping.

Our family values this limestone rock. I hope to one day go to Ireland to see where my mother's family came from. I hope that the rock is passed down to me one day and I can continue the tradition of this family heirloom.
