Black Tea
My artifact is English Tea (aka Black Tea). It is a traditional hot beverage that people often drink in England. Although it is made in India, Sri Lanka and Africa it is still consumed A LOT in Britain. English Tea is made out of leaves of a bush called camellia sinensis, you can get it in tea bags or loose leaves (I drink it from the bag, but lots of people prefer loose leaves). If you want to drink it from the tea bag all you have to do is boil some water in a tea kettle, pour it in a mug, put the tea bag in and enjoy! If you want to drink with loose tea leaves, boil the water and just put the loose tea leaves in. Some people (like me) like to put milk, honey or sugar in their tea. I put milk and honey in it and it tastes so so so good.
Every year, in the summer I go to England because a lot of my relatives still live there, but the one I'm most closely related to is my granddad. He doesn't live there but visits often considering his brother and his dad and his mom used to live there. His mom died a few years ago at the age of ninety-nine, but her grave is there. When I go there's this thing that we have called tea time that normally happens once or twice, maybe even three times a day. It's where everyone stops what they are doing, sits down and has tea normally with these biscuits called Digestives, which are really good. You can dip it in your tea or just eat it plain. Oh and during tea time you can have this really yummy food called scones with jam. I normally just have tea and Digestives.
