My artifact is a Bengali one hundred dollar bill.  It’s a type of currency in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh citizens use it to buy things. It can be used to buy prayer mats, the Quran, food, etc.  Bengali money is rectangular and has an image of a building called Star Mosque. People come to pray at the Mosque, it’s a place of worship.  It also has a person  named Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  He is the founding father of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. He served as the first President of Bangladesh and later Prime Minister of Bangladesh.  The writing on the one hundred dollar is in Bengali, they do not have an alphabet similar to standard English, the letters look like designs. It is important to me and my family because it’s from Bangladesh. Where my mom and dad are from. It is also important to me because you pretty much need money to live to buy clean water, food, etc.
