My mom has always shared stories with me about my great grandma making beans and rice with tortillas. My grandparents have kept the tradition of making that dish and bringing back memories with it. My great grandma always used to make beans and rice for my mom and my uncles when they were younger. My grandpa (her son) and my grandma always make beans, rice, and fresh tortillas still to this day. My great grandma taught my grandma and grandpa how to make the best beans. I have been eating beans and rice ever since I was little. We always have beans, rice, and tortillas at Christmas with my grandpas side of my family.
