My object is a bracelet that was given to me at birth. The bracelet is given to every member of the family, normally really early in a person's life. The bracelet itself represents luck. This bracelet was what I wore when I came to America from China. While most of my ancestors wore it for religious purposes, I always viewed this bracelet as a lucky charm. I am a first generation as well as the first in my family's history to attend college. This bracelet not only brings the story of my heritage but also shows the importance of how I need to succeed in order make my ancestors proud. My parents gave me this wonderful opportunity to study in America and to attend a university in New York. The bracelet is my object and this is my story.
