My meaningful object

My meaning object is all my bazins. My bazins remind me of all the eids I spent with my family. It carries memories like all the BBQ’s and all the road trips to Brooklyn to visit my aunt. Like the time my family and I went to a barbecue hosted by my dad’s friend. I remember grinning after the barbecue because of all the money I made that day since my dad was known by many. Every pattern and every color of my different bazins reminds me of that eid I spent wearing. The word bazin comes from the material used to make them . My favorite bazin is a pink one. It is decorated in jewels. It is very detailed and even the material is covered in a flower pattern..The bazins aren't the same, some are plain while others are shining and attract attention.  Every year my mom would pay for them to be custom made, whether it’s here or in (Guine). For us bazins had been worn by our ancestors for over a century for special occasions. It helps us get closer to family while passing down tradition. We never throw them out. My mom keeps them until we need to make space for the new one then she will give them away. I hope people keep being inspired to wear their traditional clothing because it’s not embarrassing it shows who you are.
