Basketball from my Bar Mitzvah
One of the most important days of my life was when I had my Bar Mitzvah and became a Jewish adult. June 10th, 2023 I woke up on my special day and was so nervous for the service. I got to the synagogue and we took family pictures and got everything ready for when the guests would arrive. The service went really well and I chanted from the Torah and sang the prayers to my best ability. Once we were done we turned the synagogue into a lunch venue and we had all types of food from pastas all the way to cookies. The basketball was on a table where people could sign it and give their thank you’s and congratulations. Basketball is important to me because it's the sport I play and I really enjoy it and would say it's my favorite hobby. That day when I came home with my basketball it made me feel warm and special inside and how so many people cared for me and showed up on my special day.
