My family is made up of several different immigrants, but the one that interested me the most was my great-grandfather. He had a really cool police badge. When I was little, I only liked it because it was shiny. When I turn a certain age, it will be passed down to me. I’m proud to be part of such an amazing tradition, because the badge means so much to me and my family and my sister and my brother will never touch it! I used to want to be passed down to me so my siblings wouldn’t get it. I even used to tease them about never having it.
