My grandmother, who lived in Mexico and didn’t have much, spent the money to buy a porcelain baby Jesus and kept it to put on display especially during christmas, because that’s the day baby jesus was born.  After having 18 children, my grandmother who lived to be up to 100 gave this sacred, blessed baby Jesus to my mother.  This meant a lot, because the catholic religion is not only important to my family, but also to my entire culture.
