Antique silverware set
I don’t know too much about the silverware itself except that it’s from the late 1800s to early 1900s. My Great Grandma took great care of the silverware but now that she’s gone the silverware is starting to show wear and rust. My Great Granda liked silver she had a silver cross necklace that was passed down to my mom and I remember her always wearing silver and gold watches and jewelry. My Great Grandparents loved cooking and they were quite good at it too. My Grandma was German and made many meals relating to Germany my favorite meal she made was her cookies though. She would always make chocolate chip and raisin cookies. My Great Grandpa was a tail-gunner in WW2, one time his plane crashed on enemy lines and he was forced to hide. He hid behind hay bales but a cat spotted him and hissed alerting the soldiers. He was then captured. My Great Grandma had to go get him. I don’t know too much about my family’s past or how we got to America but my family is from Germany, Scandinavia,Britain,Portugal, and other European places in Europe. We also have the slightest bit of Native American blood about less than 2% so I would probably guess that we were settlers either from the original colonist or settlers/workers that came to America once it was independent to build railroads or something along those lines. Other evidence supporting this is my last name is Evans which is from Britain and my Mom’s is from France that means cloth maker.
