My grandma, and even my great-grandmother, would collect these figurines. There were animals, people, objects, anything. They had cases full of them, filled with hundreds of figurines, and when my grandma and great-grandma passed away, my grandma allowed my sister and I to each take one before her whole collection would be passed down to her three kids (one of these kids being my mom, who still has her part of the  collection today, however, this one is more personal to me). This figurine has been with me through the many years since she has passed and it is a reminder of my grandma and a symbol of how she will always be with me in the future.
