The Amethyst Necklace

     My great grandma came from Russia to England on a big ship with all her items. One of them was the the amethyst necklace. It is dark purple with silver beads around every bit of amethyst. She brought it because when the next person in the family gets married, she would give it to them.
     It was supposed to be given to my grandma when she got married. But she didn’t get married until after her mom died. So my grandma took it and had it then she gave it to my mom who has it now. She said that if I have a girl she would give it to her or my two year old cousin.
       Now when I touch it I feel connected to everybody who held it in their hand. It feels warm tingly. It  makes me think about my great grandma on a big ship looking at the sea.
