Orchid flowers were my mother's favorite flower. She loved the pretty purple colors that they came in, since her  favorite color was purple, of course. She admired how the flower petals were bright and big with a very open shape to them. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted one of my own. My mothers favorite eventually became mine too. And ever since then, the orchid flowers had become something I symbolized my mother with. Whenever i see them i think of her, and who would have known when I had to say goodbye to her that orchid flowers would be surrounding me. they have a special place in my heart because for me it's not just a flower, it's years of memories with my favorite person.
