I chose acrylic markers because not only is it my story but it tells my story. I am able to be who I am, however I am. I can express each variant of myself with my art and work. Acrylic markers are where I first felt able to truly immerse myself into art and through that, the world. I always struggled feeling accepted in my Latinx identity and struggled with self image but art has been a way for me to find the beauty in all and connect back to my community. I was able to find my people and find my voice.
