My family comes from generations of musicians, as far as I know it goes back to my great grandma. I didn't know much about my great grandma, only that  she left us an accordion that she had played since she was in a traveling band. The instrument is old. I could feel the paint peeling if I ran my fingers on it and the notes sound off-key even if they're supposed to be on key. I can't imagine what the band was like because I don't even remember what my great grandma looked like, but I can imagine how much this meant to her, especially since some of my family members claim she valued music over her own children. Because of my great grandma's legacy in music it's what made future generations take up music as well. Both my dad and my grandpa play guitar and I was “forced” into music lessons at a young age until I could play 3 instruments in total. The instrument my grandma had is used by pressing buttons on the side and almost pushing the instrument into itself. It's a very old instrument and was really only popular back in the day, I just believe it's interesting to think one woman in my family tree was able to make generations of musicians.
