Abuelita's Ring
My grandma was always about keeping traditions alive in the family. When she was younger her grandmother and her always had a close bond. They would go every Sunday in Bolivia where they grew up,to get a certain hot cocoa. This hot cocoa was called "Abuelita" which means grandma. My grandma always told me how much she loved and saw her more as a close friend rather than family. Her grandmother loved getting her gifts to represent how much she cherish her.One day her grandmother gave my grandma a gold ring with different color diamonds on it.My grandma said the moment she saw it her eyes were full of tears for the amount of love that was shown. My grandmother said she wanted her to have it this ring so she would also be with her. Those words really stuck by my grandma and when her grandmother passed it hurt her deeply but knew as long as she has the ring she would always have it with her. When i turned 12 my grandma took me to her room and told me the story. She said as long as i have it i would always be with her.
