a wrist watch
A wrist watch that my great grandfather used along with my grandfather. When wrist watches were created in 1810 they were’nt widely used because pocket watches were a thing and they were a lot more fashionable. But when WW1 broke out it gained traction in the military becasue it was a more effective way on telling time and knowing when to do things and be when to be somewhere. Wrist watches helped with cues and shot patterns to provide soilders relif in tense situations so they didnt have to pull out a pocket watch. My great grandfather fought in WW1 when he was young and used the wrist watch to help him keep track of time helping him through the war. Later on in the vietnom war my grand father fought in and used wrist watches as well. Today my grandfather collects wrist watches and eventually gives them to me to keep. I have a hard since of telling time so they are very helpful with my day to day life. The reason there was my grandfather was because his father got help from the wrist watch and the reason my mom exist is because my grand father did the same. The wrist watch is a useful accessory that often is neglected because of clocks and smart watches. But it helping my family in the military gave them the life and oprotunity to build a family and have kids that eventually lead to me and personally i think thats a cool thing to think about.
