This is a traditional dress that symbolizes something that is wonderful and unique which connects to how this type of traditional clothing was originally made through handcraft and design in the Northern Part of Africa.  The representation of love and unity helps bring people together. Some holidays and traditions that help with that are Christmas and New Year’s. In Ethiopian tradition, they bring family and community together. However, these types of dresses and outfits symbolize a sense of style and the importance of beauty from a different culture that can stand out as social or religious. This supports my self-esteem and self-confidence.
