A Kiddush cup
My object is a Kiddush cup. The cup was given to my father as a Bar mitzvah gift in the year 1985. The cup also was made in the Jewish home land which is Israel. The Kiddush is a Jewish blessing recited over wine to sanctify Shabbat and other Jewish holadays. The Kiddush cup is the cup that holds the wine that you put the blessing over. Every Friday night me and my family recite the Kiddush over my father's cup to keep the tradition alive. By using the Kiddush cup my family is able to retain its Jewish values and stay connected with the religion while not being in Temple. Just a couple of years ago me and my brother had received our own Kiddush cups for our Bar mitzvahs just how my father got his. The cup is a way of me and my family being able to show our religious beliefs and to remeber the Jewish culture.
