1989 Alvarez Guitar
This is an Alvarez guitar made in 1989. It was given to me by my grandparents as a thank you for helping them move. This guitar is incredibly important to me because my grandparents have had a huge impact on my life. My parents had me while they were both in college, so with them having to work, go to classes, and do assignments they needed a little bit of help with taking care of me. When my dad moved back to Virginia, he needed a place to stay and my grandparents were more than happy to accommodate him and his two year old son. As my dad was out looking for a job and house hunting my grandparent would look after me for the next few months until my dad found a place of his own. When my dad had to work late or work weekends, my grandparents never hesitated to pick me up from school, take me to Toys R Us, or to eat whenever. My grandparents have also taught me many things like the importance of family, giving back to the community, and treating others with respect and kindness. One of the greatest lessons my grandparents taught me is how to appreciate music. I have fond memories of staying with my grandparents and always listening to some kind of music planning, whether it be the Beatles, Jim Croce, or my grandmother playing the piano. My grandparents have introduced me to so many great artists and songs that I love to this day, and they have made music such an important part of my everyday life.
