1916 Dyckman House Booklet

I bought this little book from a local bookstore here in Inwood. My family has lived in this neighborhood for a long time and I grew up here. I like history, most of all local history. I like to collect things that talk about this neighborhood and the people that live or have lived in it. So when I found this book, I knew I wanted it not only because it speaks about the Dutch-American history I come from, but also about the revival of a landmark in this community. It talks about the restoration of the house by the Dyckman sisters and its transformation into the museum that stands here today. The Dyckman House has gone a lot of changes over its long history and to see it change with the community around it goes to show how rich this area has been and it still grows to this day.
