Coty Delgado AMDG U.S History , Block Your story, Our Story This Truck represents My Dad’s Hard work and perseverance after settling down in The United States. My Dad immigrated from Guerrero, Mexico in the 80’s looking for a better life to provide for his family back home in Guerrero making sure they had what they needed. When me and my sister were born he worked so hard to get us the best educaton and be someone in life like he always said” eres de los estados unidos que mas necesitas puedes ser lo que quieres”. And those words stick with me because I want to make him proud. We never had that much money but he work really hard to make sure we had money to spend. This truck he bought with all his money when we was 16 years old here in the U.S, and from there he seen that hard work and dedication pays off. He once told me “ yo te puedo dar lo que quieres pero no lo voy hacer te voy a encenar como hacer dinero y que estudias y que no trabajes para nadien que tu seas tu propio jefe. He always reminds me you have the potential to become someone very important, and just like he always tried to give me everything , I want to retire my dad one day so he does not have to work ever again. This truck is a symbol of hard work and dedication is possible. Just because he's not from here doesn’t mean he cant do it he will succeed and prove everyone wrong.
