My grandpa fought in the US Army in WWII. Before I was born he passed away and I was unable to ever meet him. I always appreciated military service and especially my grandfathers. I recently acquired his metals and ribbons and I found out that he received a Bronze Star for valor while serving in the US Army during WWII. His metals and especially his Bronze Star always reminds me of the hero that my grandfather was, even though I never knew him.
