World Map Puzzle
I chose this puzzle as my object for many reasons. I have had this puzzle for years; it is a two-hundred-piece puzzle with a world map on it. The design is simple: dark blue ocean, unnaturally green land, and bright orange sand. The animals throughout the map are all at their native regions. When I was little, my mom would always have a puzzle out that she would work on at night. My sister and I would always try to help, but a 5000-piece puzzle was boring to us, so I always did smaller puzzles much like this one. This puzzle represents me in many ways, one being my love of travel, but that was not the reason I thought of it. When I was trying to decide what object represented me, I kept thinking of all my options, there were so many things I thought represented me. As I walked around my house looking for something to write about, I realized I would never be able to pick something, so I decided on this puzzle. When I think of myself, I think of all the different things I have worked for and all I have accomplished, I realize that one thing does not represent every part of me. I see myself as many pieces of a puzzle that makes up who I am. Now, whenever I see a puzzle, it reminds me of the nights when I would watch my mom do a puzzle and it keeps me connected to my family and my childhood.
