Wooden Egg Holder
My ancestor, Ragnvald Olson Vik was like many others at the time and sought out a new country to prosper in. He was born in Stryn, Norway and was the son of a single mother. Because she was unmarried, she was often shamed by the townspeople and as a result so was he. When he was only sixteen years old he decided to leave the only home he'd ever known to journey to America. He couldn't bring a lot of home to his new country but managed to carry over a set of wooden egg holders, previously belonging to his mother. They were passed down to my family.
