A football is more than just a ball. More than just a piece of leather woven to be spiraled through the air. A football represents how to problem solve and work together to accomplish a goal. Through working together as one and playing for the man next to you, you gain trust and respect for your team. What is created is called a bond. Through a  football, friendships that will last a lifetime are created. Although the game played with a football sounds hard and intense, I look at it as fun and exhilarating. When the crowd starts chanting at kickoff, my blood begins to pump and I immediately fill with energy. They scream as we run down the field working in sync. It fuels me with adrenaline as we chase down the football and run into endzones, and I love it. Equally important, the guys by my side day in and day out feel the same way. Being on a football team means you push your weakest link to be the best they can be, so you are stronger as one. This game of football turns young men into leaders, challenging your teammates to be better than yourself. Lastly, the feeling of storming the field on gametime. Rushing the turf when it’s time to play is a feeling you will not understand unless you experience it. It is filled with mixed emotions of feeling equipped to have fun with your friends and an itch to see what your opponent has to bring.  Because of a football we are able to play an amazing game that gives me as well as millions of kids across the country joy.
