Wedding band
A ring is a round band usually made of metal that can be worn for accessory purposes to jazz up an outfit with jewels or have some sort of symbolism that shows a connection between one’s self and another individual or even occasion. In my family jewelry is utilized to show signs of connection, endearment, and promise. Furthermore, the same wedding band has been passed down in my family from generation to generation. The groom gives the ring to the woman getting married in the family so they can have the ring as their wedding band. Primarily, it is given to the groom so that it is more meaningful considering the wedding band is coming directly from the groom rather than just receiving the ring by a family member randomly. This exact ring was first inserted into my family history in the year 1938. Therefore, this ring was very special due to age and given to my great grandmother by my great grandfather who went out to buy this generational piece of jewelry from an Italian jeweler. Although this ring may look beautiful it originally encountered many flaws. The particular ring is lined with diamonds on the outer rim of the ring. One day my grandmother was wearing the ring, and some diamonds began to fall out leaving her devastated. Consequently, my great aunt-my grandmother’s sister-began to brainstorm ways to put this ring back together to make it completely functional once more. My great aunt put in copious amounts of effort to find out where to go to fix this ring. Hence, how much of a deeper meaning this ring has to my family.
