Vitilla
The vitilla, a game similar to baseball, is a tradition in the Dominican Republic. Young people like me have fun playing vitilla every afternoon. A vitilla set consists of a stick and a piece similar to a bottle cap, made of durable plastic.
You can play on a dirt field, garden or in the street. I learned to play Vitilla when I was 9 years old playing with my father on the patio of the house. Vitilla reminds me of my childhood since I learned it at a young age. Then at 15 years old, I participated in a tournament representing my neighborhood where we won the tournament. I got a medal from the tournament and I was very excited. The medal is now in my house and I like the medal.
This is my favorite game to have fun with my friends. When I play Vitilla I feel good and excited because I remember my childhood.
