My aunt flew to Mexico for family reasons and while she was there she visited my grandmother who I've never met before and she told her to bring a piece of Mexico for my siblings and I. She brought me specifically a keychain with the Virgin De Guadalupe carved into it. The virgin is the mother of everyone and will protect us in my culture. The Virgin De Guadalupe brings me hope, strength, and safety that my hopes and dreams will come true from all my hard work and the hard work and sacrifices that my father and mother have done. These sacrifices and hard work are so that my siblings and I don't have to go through the same struggle they went through and so that we can accomplish our dreams.
