Something that has been very important in my family is a small statue that  we have in my house of the Virgen de Guadalupe. My family is catholic so my dad bought it for my grandma 18 or 19 years ago when they were coming from Mexico to the United States her name was Guadalupe Gonzalez or Lupe. She passed away when I was one or two years old so I don't really remember her. Before she died she gave it to my tia than two years ago my tia gave it to my mom. It's one of the only things I have left that belonged to her that's why it is very important to me. The statue of the Virgen de Guadalupe is 24 inches. The statue is in the living room with a picture of my grandma next to it. On the holidays we light up a candle next to it.
