The necklace of the Virgin of  Carmen represents a great value in my life, because it is a special gift that my mother gave me. I remember when I was 9 years old she gave it to me and asked me to take care of it and to keep it always with me. And 4 months later my parents passed away, a very sad moment for the age I was, my life changed a lot and I got responsibilities from that age. This allowed me to mature in a certain way faster than children my age, but always carrying with me the words that my mother had told me. I proudly carry the name of the Virgin of Carmen as my middle name and it is the same name my mother had. I usually use it on my birthday to remember them and have them present in my life, although I know they are always present, although they are not physically present they became that motivation to move forward and achieve things that perhaps they could not achieve. I think we all have something special to remember or that our parents gave us, for me it will always be my necklace that I will have forever.
