Ulek's Painting
My object is a painting. Ulek Tosher, my great grandpa, migrated from Poland with only a friend and big dreams. He came to the united states of america in 1922,he was thirteen. The painting take’s place in the united states of america in a party in the 1930’s in Ulek Tosher’s tenement in lower east side new york. Unfortunately Ulek Tosher is the only one I know who migrated to the united states of america before world war two but again i'm not sure. My family keeps it in the living room but no one looks at it I mean it's next to the tv and there is no way a painting could compete with the tv I don't know how to make a canvas I asked my parents for something important and they gave me this painting that takes place in Ulek Tosher’s tenement. I think my family thinks Ulek Tosher's painting is important because it show’s a family and maybe not the kind with just people that are related but a family made of friends. I think Ulek Tosher was trying to show life in america as an immigrant
If I could ask Ulek Tosher three questions it would be…One:are the people in the painting real Two:what are the names of those in the painting Three:what inspired you to make this paintingIn conclusion I think the painting represents a new and exciting life in america
