Trompos are the best!
Trompos come in different sizes, but that does not really matter when you are playing. Imagine this, after school you go to the park with your friends, you eat something (usually junk food), and then you decide to play with your trompos. That's when the real fun starts. I remember when I was 9 years old, I would take my trompo and challenge my friends after school. The point was to see which trompo would spin longer. They became so popular that many styles appeared. Trompos are usually made out of wood, but people started making them from plastic because they looked cool. Those with the original trompos would challenge kids with plastic trompos, and we did not only played to see which trompo spinned the longest but which one could make the most damage to other trompos. Of course, skills played a big role, but we only care about destroying other trompos at this point. You could easily get a new one for just 5 pesos (Mexican currency). When I moved to the US, I couldn't bring my trompos (I had a lot of them in different styles). A friend of mine sent me one, I like playing with it, but unfortunately there is no people to play with. If I had the chance, I would play it again, and I would use a wooden trompo for obvious reasons.
