My grandmother's brother used to play with a spinning top (trompo) and then her son played it and he became a good player with it. Then my uncle died when he was 14 years old. When I was born my mom decided to name me after her dead brother (Saul) and my grandma told me the story about him and things that he liked to do.Trompo is a game that he liked to play with his friends and it is very fun and interesting because you can compete with your friends. This game is very popular in El Salvador, you make a circle and then put the trompo in the middle and try to hit it and the person who hit it and kicks it out of the circle can break the other person’s trompo. Also this is important to me because that makes my grandma happy because I make her remember her son. This object represents me as a happiness to my grandma, practically my mother because I have been living with her for 15 years.
