Tortillas

My story is that tortillas were very important to me because when I was in Guatemala there were days when we could only eat tortillas due to lack of food. It connects me with my culture because the tortilla has been used for a long time in my culture.  My mother gave it to me to eat with a good meal and my mother was the same, and you talked about the tortillas.  That's why it is important to me and it is because the tortilla is a good companion with meals and because it is very used in my country and in my culture. The truth is that this object is used every day and in celebrations or holidays. The tortilla is made with “mais” and “maseca” is used to eat to accompany a good meal.  Now, in Brooklyn the tortillas are different and not as good as in Guatemala.
