 My father has had a Buddha statue that his father had all his life then he gave that statue to me, he gave that statue to me when i turned sixteen he told me that he only would give it to me when he could finally trust it in my hands it's considered to be the most important item in my father's life in the light of my fathers being dirt poor in the country of Srilanka when my Grandfather died my Father obtained this statue,My father was considered to be missguided as well as me a couple years ago but in awaken of my Grandfathers death he began to follow buddha's morales helping anyone even if he didn't have a dime in his pocket he would be a kind hearted soul to anyone who crossed his path, In Buddhism we believe in karma and we believe what comes around goes whether it be negative or positive in addition my father and mother were both broke and living in Sri lanka in their early 20’s and had no hope of leaving a war filled Sri lanka uniquely there was a green card lottery in addition to 3 plane tickets, And outta of 3,241 people My father, Mother and aunt won the opportunity to live a better life and have the opportunity to raise a family in America not to mention me and my family are now living in Dix hills, New York which has some of the highest property tax in the country due to the great schools comparatively to my father's childhood to my childhood was great and i have been blessed to not have struggled like my father had, Buddha's words of advice have impacted us all in all aspects of life
