THE RING
I come from Honduras. I came to United State when I was 13 years old. I did not know I was coming to U.S, my mother lied to me that I was going to study in San Pedro Sula, the second largest city of Honduras, because I had finished my middle school, I was going to college. When she told me that it was April 2, 2013 I come here April 9, 2013. The first thing that my mother told me was that, "listen to your step mother", that every day I have to say good morning every day to my father, step mother, and to "be strong to yourself", because I'm the only girl of her. She gave me a silver ring, she told me never forgets me, that she is always for me even do she is far from me. I have 4 years with the ring, and I feel if I lose the ring I lose my life. Maybe in the future I will pass the ring on to my own daughter!
