The quran stands was believed to be invented between the 14th and 20th century. The quran stand is used to hold the quran, so it made easier for people to read the quran because you did not have a lots of weight to hold in your hands while reading the quran. The quran stand is made out of wood and it has the “X” shape, so that it would hold the quran, also it has the “X” shape so you can close it together when you're done using it .When asked my mom how she thinks the quran stand immigrated to the United States she replied with “as more people were coming to the United States, who were muslims, people had to learn the quran, so they made quran schools for children and it was hard to hold the quran all day long so more people were coming with quran stands as they came to the United States”. Adding to that creating quran school for children had a big impact on bringing the quran stand in the United States. Also when asked my mom if the quran stand was still used today,she replied with “The quran stand is still used today in smaller villages in Somalia”. “The  quran and the quran stand would always be together, because the quran is what every muslim around the world reads, so i don’t think the quran stand would ever disappear”, said my father when asked if  the quran stand would ever come to an end and people would stop using it.
