Grandpa's glove (1940)

The photos above are of my Grandfather's first baseball glove. My grandpa grew up playing baseball in New Jersey and loved it. My great Grandparents immigrated from Italy to New Jersey in 1929 and ever since then, baseball has been passed down in my family and the sport brings us together. They instantly fell in love with the American culture and the sport of Baseball. My family watches baseball together and we have a great time. I have been playing baseball ever since i could remember, and recently i got a new glove for Christmas. You can tell that there is a huge difference between generations of gloves, and its not just the gloves that have changed, the sport of Baseball has changed. Baseball as a sport has not changed, but it has in the way it impacts people. In my opinion, baseball has evolved into a lifestyle rather than a great pastime from the mid 1900's. However, baseball will always be a symbol of America and what it stands for.
